CareerBuilder Hires Super Bowl

CareerBuilder, the job search site, is back in the monster game. For the sixth year in a row, the company -- which has run well-received ads with monkeys showing incompetence in the workplace -- will return to the Super Bowl as an advertiser.

Also back is competitor Monster.com.

The CareerBuilder second-quarter spot dovetails with the recent trend of marketers using user-generated spots to create buzz, having obtained its 30-second run from a HireMyTVAd contest.

The company said it received nearly 1,000 entries. The winner will stick with the CareerBuilder "Start Building" tagline.

Richard Castellini, chief marketing officer at CareerBuilder, stated: "We made a strategic decision to change our advertising approach and leverage the creative minds of consumers across the country."
