Enliven Introduces New Service for Flash Ads

  • July 17, 2001
Enliven, Inc. responded today to the huge increase in demand for Macromedia Flash-based online ads with a new Flash ad serving solution.

According to the announcement, the new service solves the key problems facing advertisers and interactive agencies who are creating Macromedia Flash based ads: trafficking and reporting.

With the new service, advertisers or agencies simply log in to the Enliven Extranet, upload their Macromedia Flash SWF files (no Flash source files or font files required) and send Enliven the media buy. Macromedia Flash ads served by Enliven are up and running as fast as a GIF ad is running on other systems.

Additionally, as part of the Flash file upload process, the ads are automatically formatted to provide results measurements that go way beyond click-through, such as Ad Display Time (the amount of time the ad was displayed on the consumer's browser), and Ad Interaction Time (the amount of time the consumer interacted or navigated within the ad).

In addition, the Enliven Ad Serving Service for Macromedia Flash ads can easily enable additional tracking metrics, including multiple click through destinations and custom metrics, with minor modifications to the Flash file. The guidelines for enabling these features are available on the Enliven website.
