P&G Uses 6-Foot Roll Of Bounty For Fundraiser

  • March 4, 2010
To help raise money for local food banks, Procter & Gamble has created a really jumbo roll of Bounty -- six feet tall -- and tossed it into an oversized grocery cart.

The promotional cart, linked to P&G's launch of its new Bounty Huge Roll (two and a half times larger than one regular Bounty roll), is set to be wheeled around in five cities. Shoppers will be invited to have their photo taken with it, get product coupons, and become a fan of the Bounty page.

For each fan it gains, Bounty says it will donate one roll of paper towels to each of five local food banks, up to $50,000 worth of product. Stops include San Antonio; Grand Rapids, Mich., Cincinnati; Natick, Mass., and North Bergen, N.J.--Sarah Mahoney
