Discovery Communications has acquired the global rights to "Sarah Palin's Alaska," the working title of the new eight-part documentary series about the former governor and her home state. The series
will be executive produced by Emmy-award winner Mark Burnett of "Survivor" and "Apprentice." Burnett previously co-produced "Eco-Challenge" for the network from 1996-'99.
