Best Buy To Open More Small Mobile Stores

Best Buy confirms that it plans to turn up the volume on its cell-phone retail concept, accelerating the rollout of its Best Buy Mobile stores here in the U.S.

In addition to the 77 stores already open, "we see the potential for 1,000 stores in the U.S.," a spokesperson for the Minneapolis-based company tells Marketing Daily, adding that there is no timeline yet for that target. "We remain focused on opening our next 75 to 100 Best Buy Mobile stand-alone stores in fiscal 2011."--Sarah Mahoney
