About 30 staffers, or 9% of the
New York Daily News editorial team, took buyouts, reports the
New York Observer. That leaves less than 300 members on the editorial staff. Among those
leaving: gossip columnist George Rush, Mila Andre, a features writer with 40 years experience, veteran photographer/picture editor Charles Ruppman and veteran political reporter David Saltonstall, who
has nearly 20 years on the job.
