Family Dollar Introduces Kids Clothing Line

Family Dollar, a chain that has tried hard to make itself a household name during the recession, is launching Kidgets, a private-label clothing line for children and infants.

With all items priced at $10 and under, the line includes everything from three-piece outfit sets and shoes to diapers and baby blankets.

The Charlotte, N.C.-based retailer is supporting the launch with a "Cute as a Kidget" photo contest, offering cash, cameras, and the chance to star in an upcoming ad campaign.--Sarah Mahoney
