Newspaper Sites Lead in Posting Red Cross Ads

Newspaper websites have been the leaders in posting American Red Cross ads since the terrorist attacks.

Data from Evaliant Media Resources for Sept. 12 to Sept. 21 lists bradenton.com (Bradenton, FL Herald), Miami Herald Internet Edition, Star-Telegram.com, Centre Daily Times, Contra Costa Newspapers, Monterey County Herald, Washington Post, Detroit Free Press, the Myrtle Beach Sun Times, USA Today, latimes.com and The New York Times as among the leaders in the number of Red Cross ads served.

The ads link users to Redcross.org where they can make donations to Red Cross relief efforts.

The Red Cross collected $51 million online through yesterday, the most it has ever collected online by far.

Among the other leading sites for Red Cross ads are Goto.com, Parents.com, LookSmart, Pioneer Planet, Hitbox.com, Auto.com and Woman Motorist.
