Fanta Launches Search For New 'Fantana'

Coca-Cola's Fanta brand has launched a search for a new member of "The Fantanas," an entertainment/brand ambassador group reintroduced last summer.

Lily, one of the four Fantanas (each representing one of the soda's flavors) is leaving to start an acting career, and the winner of the contest will replace her.

Between now and June 30, brand fans are being asked to submit one-minute audition videos in which they demonstrate their singing and dancing skills and explain why they would "make a great Fantana." The winner will be revealed nationally on MTV in late September.

As in last year's casting call, Fanta fans will help determine the winner by rating the submissions on (this year between July 8 and July 29).

The 10 semi-finalists will be selected based on the fan ratings and the scores from a qualified panel of judges. Fans will then vote for the semi-finalist with the most public appeal, sending the three with the most votes to a final casting call.

The grand prize winner will receive a $7,000 cash prize and the opportunity to sign a contract to be included in Fanta's national advertising and marketing campaign as the fourth Fantana. The second and third place winners will be awarded $2,500 and $1,000 cash prizes, respectively.
