TNN: The National Network launched its exclusive Star Trek franchise last week to the network's highest ratings ever. Next Gen On TNN: A 5-Day Mission, TNN's five-day Star Trek marathon, gave TNN its highest rated and most watched week ever, with an average .9 HH Total Day rating (789,000 HH) and an average 1.7 Primetime rating (1,424,000 HH) for the week Monday, Oct. 1-Friday, Oct. 5. Also, Monday-thru-Friday, TNN was the #1 network among Adults 18-49 in both Total Day and Primetime, reaching an average of 720,000 Adults 18-49 during Total Day, and 1,347,000 in Primetime -- a dramatic increase of 233% Adults 18-49 in Total Day and 113% in Primetime over TNN's Mon.-Fri averages of a year ago. Next Gen On TNN: A 5-Day Mission featured a marathon of Star Trek movies, 77 episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and WWF RAW with Star Trek bits. In an unprecedented move, TNN devoted its entire program schedule Monday, Oct. 1-thru-Friday, Oct. 5 to this programming, to promote the addition of Star Trek: The Next Generation to the TNN schedule in its regular time slot: Mondays-Fridays (8:00-9:00 PM and 11:00 PM-12:00 Midnight, ET/PT). For the first time, Star Trek: The Next Generation, which can be seen only on TNN, has a nationwide distribution, exceeding 84 million homes.
