"Martha" Eyes Sixth Year

"Martha Stewart Living," currently in its fifth season of national syndication, has been renewed on TV stations representing coverage of 60% of the country for the 2002-03 TV season. The daily show has been renewed in major market CBS-owned stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Boston. "Martha Stewart Living" debuted in September 1993 as a weekly syndicated program; it became a daily half-hour series in September 1997. In January 1999, it expanded to become an hourlong show, and it currently airs on stations representing more than 86% of the country. The series earned a modest 1.4 national household rating for the week ended Sept. 23, according to Nielsen Media Research.
