Kelley Blue Book: F-150 Top Dog In Trucks

  • June 23, 2010
Ford's F-150 pickup truck took top honors in a new full-size pickup comparison test from Kbb.com (Kelley Blue Book).

The site reviewers touted the truck for being well-rounded, for driving dynamics, styling, Roll Stability Control as standard, and AdvanceTrac electronic stability control. Full-sized pickup trucks drink gas but have been immune to the vicissitudes of fuel pricing and trends. That's because it's hard to replace a pickup truck with, say, a crossover.

Also, such vehicles are strong sellers in markets where buyers simply have to have a pickup truck, as much for what they represent as for what they can do.

There are six nameplates out there now: in addition to the F-150, there's Dodge Ram, Chevrolet Silverado (and sibling GMC Sierra), Nissan's Titan and Toyota's Tundra. In second to fifth place were Dodge Ram, Chevrolet Silverado, Toyota Tundra, and Nissan Titan.
