Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings has expanded its ad program on Sound Transit buses and stations to include advertising on the Link Light Rail train. The new ad format will wrap the outside of the light
rail train, which travels from downtown Seattle to the Seattle/Tacoma International Airport. The expansion is part of a five-year contract to create a revenue-sharing partnership between Clear Channel
Outdoor and Sound Transit. The contract includes advertising on the transit stations from Tacoma to Everett, the Tacoma Street Car, advertising on 243 Sound Transit buses and the Light Rail Trains. In
2009, Sound Transit served 19 million riders in the Puget Sound region.
