Linebacker Antonio Pierce has retired from the NFL after nine seasons, the last five with the New York Giants, and is joining ESPN as an NFL analyst. Pierce will officially start in his new role with
ESPN this month, appearing on "NFL Live," "Sports Center," "ESPN News" and 1050 ESPN New York. He also will provide weekly analysis for ESPNNewYork.com. He was the Giants' defensive captain and helped
the team defeat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.
