Penton Renames Windows

Penton Media announced that Windows 2000 Magazine will become Windows & .NET Magazine effective with the January 2002 issue. "Several factors make now the perfect time to change the name of our publication and online network," said Kim Paulsen, publisher. "Windows is gaining share as a corporate computing platform. Support for the .NET framework is initially strong. We're the editorial leader in both the enterprise Windows infrastructure and .NET space. It simply makes sense for us to carry both Microsoft enterprise brands in our title. By granting us the exclusive license to use this title, Microsoft has validated our position."
