New PSAs Say "Thanks-for-Giving"

  • November 21, 2001
The Advertising Council and The White House yesterday unveiled new public service announcements (PSAs) featuring the President and Laura Bush. In these new spots the President and Mrs. Bush thank Americans for everything they have done and will continue to do to keep our nation strong. The PSAs were unveiled by Peggy Conlon, President and CEO of the Ad Council, and Karen Hughes, Counselor to the President, in Washington D.C. yesterday morning.

The "Thanks-for-Giving" campaign offers thanks for everything Americans have done and will continue to do. In the PSAs, the President and First Lady encourage people everywhere to continue to come together -- from serving in their local communities to finding ways to give of their time talent.

The PSAs, which are available for television, print and the Internet, direct viewers to a website where they can learn more about ways to further their generosity. The PSAs debuted nationally yesterday and will continue to run in donated media throughout the week.
