WPP marketing services agency G2 this week announced the promotion of Dr. Rita Wheat to the postion of Group Director, Emerging Shopper & Marketing Technologies across the entire G2 North American
network. Previously, Wheat served for eight years as Group Director, Strategy & Research, for the Interactive Marketing practice of G2 USA.
In her new role, Wheat is responsible for
development of emerging and shopper technology strategies for G2 USA's interactive, promotional and relationship marketing practices, in addition to serving as digital strategy lead on current CPG
clients. She will also oversee a new service offering -- eSMART (Emerging Shopper Marketing and Retail Technologies). G2 clients include Adobe, Campbell Soup Company, EA, Heineken, J.M. Smucker,
Kraft, Liberty Mutual, Procter & Gamble, Pfizer and Waste Management.
