Ad Council Teams With FEMA on PSAs

  • November 26, 2001
The Advertising Council and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today the launch of a public service ad campaign that reminds all Americans affected by the events of September 11 that help is still available. According to FEMA estimates, there are many individuals and businesses that may not have sought help in the immediate aftermath of the attack, but are now finding that they need assistance. Eligible applicants include individuals, families and small businesses that have been affected by the attacks financially or emotionally. The new spots, developed by volunteer ad agency Mezzina Brown & Partners, will be distributed to electronic and print media outlets in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. The TV spot implies unheard calls for help and lets viewers know that help can be found by calling FEMA's toll-free registration number - 800-462-9029.
