Joel Ewanick, GM's VP marketing, proving once again that he's the human magnet, has pulled another competitive marketing executive to The Tubes -- this time from Cherry Hill, N.J.-based Subaru. Kevin Mayer will step up as the new director for advertising and sales promotion at GM's Chevrolet division.

Mayer, who led marketing communications at Subaru of America, starts Oct. 4.
