Sprint 4G Coming To New York City Nov. 1

  • October 18, 2010
Sprint will launch 4G coverage for New York City on Nov. 1, the company has announced.

To promote the launch, which promises faster data speeds (allowing for streaming video and/or downloading of large files) for mobile devices, the company is releasing a series of online videos, "Wiring up 4G in NYC," that feature executives showing how the network is coming together (and, at times, how it's already in place.)

Sprint currently has 4G coverage in 55 markets including Dallas, Baltimore, Las Vegas and Chicago. In addition to New York, the company plans to add 4G coverage in Los Angeles and San Francisco by the end of the year.
