Edmunds' InsideLine.com, has come up with a list of five technologies that will change the auto market forever. No, time travel isn't one of them.

The Santa Monica, Calif.-based firm says advanced web-computing that updates maps, real time traffic and local services; next generation heads-up displays that do things like outline the edges of the road during low visibility; advanced driver assistance such as lane departure and forward collision; in-vehicle apps; and telematics are all cost-of-entry technologies.
