Wolinsky Out As 'Variety' Editor

Leo Wolinsky, a Los Angeles Times veteran hired by Daily Variety in December 2009 to help it cope with a changing Hollywood media market, confirmed that he was let go, reports The New York Times. Variety has also endured various job cuts, reducing its staff to about 12. Plus, its influence has been challenged by upstarts like Deadline.com and TheWrap.com.
