Salon, the Web site that helped pioneer online journalism, is changing editors, reports
The New York Times. Joan Walsh, who has been editor in chief since 2005, is leaving to write a book.
Kerry Lauerman, an editor and writer at the site for the last decade, will take over as EIC. Walsh will continue to blog for Salon occasionally as she writes her book "Indivisible," which she
describes as "an indictment of the fear-based politics that splits Americans and holds the country back."
