He may be 30 years old, but Pac-Man has truly arrived. The video game character, which first appeared in 1980, will finally have his own float during the Tournament of Roses Parade on Jan. 1, marking
the first time a video game character has had its own float in the parade's 122-year history.
The appearance isn't entirely altruistic, of course. The 55-foot-tall float (which will also
include ghosts Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde) will be used to promote Pac-Man Party, a game available for Nintendo's Wii console system.
