  • January 7, 2011
It has been a long time coming, but Chrysler Group has started production of the all new 2011 Chrysler 300. Also being made at Chrysler's plant in Brampton, Ontario are the new Dodge Charger 2011 and Dodge Challenger.

"The launch of the all-new 2011 Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger demonstrates how far this company has come in 18 months," said Chrysler Group CEO Sergio Marchionne, at a press event there. Chrysler spent more than U.S. $1 billion since 2008 for the launch of the 300, Charger and Challenger for assembly, stamping, material handling and tooling.

December was Chrysler's ninth consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases in the U.S.
