  • February 7, 2011

JCPenney says it is rolling out its in-store digital units to 120 more stores, allowing associates and customers to check on expanded assortments and online availability.

The Plano, Tex.-based chain says the 42-inch touchscreens allow people to search its site, see 360 degree views of products, email images and information about an online item to themselves or a friend, and scan barcodes for more information.

The company also says it's adding an iPad app to its jewelry departments, where associates can use the iPad to help consumers shop through its Modern Bride bridal collections.
