EA Goes Medieval For The Sims

  • March 8, 2011
Electronic Arts is teaming with themed restaurant/entertainment venue Medieval Times to launch the latest iteration of its Sims game franchise, The Sims Medieval.

The two companies will hold a special game launch event at Medieval Times' Buena Park, Calif. restaurant on March 21, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Medieval Times Charity. Attendees of that event will be able to play the game before the festivities begin and will receive a code for a free digital download of the game.

In addition, 50 additional codes will be given away randomly at eight other Medieval Times venues around the country. The Sims Medieval features similar gameplay of the popular gaming franchise, but brings it into the Middle Ages, where players can create heroes, venture on quests and build and control a kingdom.

"The Sims Medieval and Medieval Times are a perfect blend of two franchises that are working towards the same goal of providing a rich, creative and fun experience within a medieval setting," said Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio, in a statement.
