Chitika agreed to settle an FTC privacy complaint alleging that the company offered deceptive opt-outs.
The FTC alleged that betweeen May of 2008 and February of 2010, Chitika's opt-out cookie
lasted for only 10 days. Chitika agreed that in the future, its opt-out cookies will last for at least five years.
