RiteAid says it introducing a new program for getting rid of old and unused prescription medications, and will sell the $3.99 envelops at its stores and online. Consumers, who once blithely flushed
old prescriptions, are increasingly concerned about the environmental effects of such chemicals in the waste stream, and this allows them to mail the items to a medication incinerator. (Controlled
medications are not eligible.)
