Atrix, Xoom Not Connecting

Despite being a powerful and engaging pieces of gadgetry, Motorola's Xoom tablet and Atrix smartphone (the one you can plug into a keyboard to make it look like a laptop) are not exactly taking off with consumers.

According to Forbes (quoting Pacific Crest analyst James Faucette), sales of the two devices are "disappointing," thanks in part to sales on other smartphones, like the $49 iPhone 3GS and HTC Inspire.

While cutting the company's forecasts for the year, Faucette also warns that Motorola's next round of products need to "substantially differentiate themselves from the rest of the pack."
