Mobile ad spending in the U.S. for the first time will break $1 billion in 2010, according to new data from eMarketer. The market research firm predicts mobile ad revenue will increase 48% from $743
million last year to $1.1 billion in 2011. That total is projected to reach $2.5 billion by 2014. eMarketer's estimate includes display (banner, rich media and video), search and messaging-based
advertising.
