Home Depot Extends Contract With CBS Sports Football

  • July 10, 2003
The Home Depot said Thursday it had signed a three-year extension with CBS Spots as the title sponsor of its SEC College Football broadcasts through 2005. Home Depot has sponsored the broadcasts for four years. The sponsorship accord provides the company with prominent branded graphics throughout the broadcasts, commercial spots and billboards. CBS Sports has scheduled 18 national broadcasts for SEC college football in 2003. "This sponsorship extension with CBS Sports aligns The Home Depot with a long-standing broadcast leader in college football and one of the premier college football conferences in the country," said John Costello, executive vice president of marketing for The Home Depot. "Our association with college football will continue to be a great vehicle to reach our target consumers. We want people to link the Home Depot brand with their weekend activities, including the long-standing tradition of college football."
