Former General Motors marketing executive Mike Jackson has created a joint venture with Las Vegas marketing agency R&R Partners. The new venture, Jackson & Partners, is essentially a 360-degree dealership marketing firm and consultancy focused on dealers with multiple franchises.

Other former Detroit auto and automotive agency executives on the new team for Jackson & Partners include Gary Topowelski, Randy Easterbrook, and Dana Locatell.

"We have created processes and tools that assist dealers in evaluating the specific needs of their respective marketplace," said Jackson in a statement. "Our goals are to develop marketing solutions aimed to more effectively, efficiently and affordably increase sales. As a part of the process, the Jackson and Partners team works directly with dealer principals and their employees to develop branding and communications programs."

"The restructuring of the auto industry, changes in buyer behavior and the evolution of the media landscape have altered how people search, select, and purchase cars," said Topowelski. "Our goal is to assist dealers of all sizes in adapting to these changes while successfully growing customer retention, sales, and profits."

"The automotive retailer space is a vastly undervalued market," said Mary Ann Mele, chief strategic officer of R&R Partners. "With Mike's experience and understanding within the automotive space, his team's unparalleled authority and R&R's ability to deliver top quality, award winning work and results, there is no question the joint venture will help revolutionize automotive retail marketing."

Jackson was most recently senior vice president of global sales, marketing and distribution for CODA Automotive, Santa Monica, Calif. He was at General Motors for seven years, reaching North America VP of marketing and advertising from March 2006 to June 2007.
