Safety-Kleen Creates CMO Position For Curtis Knapp

Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc., an oil recycling and re-refining company with around 4,300 employees and customers in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. has appointed Curtis C. Knapp as its first-ever CMO and SVP.

Knapp, a former SVP at Dallas-based Marketing Arm and former marketer at Waste Management who was also, at one time, a marketer at Castrol, will lead development of the company's overall marketing and branding strategy. He joined Safety-Kleen in 2008 as VP of channel marketing for the company's recycled products.

The company said he will focus on its EcoPower Motor Oil program, and the national distribution network of rapid oil change outlets, car dealers, tire centers, and the like selling the re-refined motor. The network also services vehicle fleets like Ryder Trucking.
