E! Taps Kolb As President

Suzanne-Kolb

Suzanne Kolb is the new president for E! A former marketing chief for E! and Style networks, she reports to Bonnie Hammer, chair of NBCU Cable Entertainment, who has handled the division since the Comcast-NBC merger.

Kolb takes over for Ted Harbert, who left E! to become NBC Broadcasting chair.

She is credited with turning E! into "a top global entertainment news brand," stated Hammer, who called her the "perfect person" to lead the network through the "important next phase of its evolution."

Kolb's marketing savvy and creative direction helped propel hit shows like "Chelsea Lately," "Fashion Police" and the "Kardashian" franchise.

Before her tenure with E!, Kolb worked as the executive vice president of marketing for WB.

Her senior management team will include COO Steve Dolcemaschio, Lisa Berger, president, entertainment programming, and Cyndi McClellan, EVP, research and program strategy.

While noting the success E! enjoyed in the past, Kobl stated: "We're just getting started."

Last month, The Hollywood Reporter said that Hammer would put E! through a "brand audit," similar to what USA underwent seven years ago.
