Williams Leads Buying Ops At MagnaGlobal

IPG's Mediabrands has tapped Chris Williams to lead buying operations at MagnaGlobal as the unit is split into two groups. Williams becomes president of what is now MagnaGlobal Investment.

That is joined by a research arm led by Brian Monahan, who becomes head of a Global Intelligence operation. He also leads the IPG Media Lab.

Magna had been led by CEO Elizabeth Herbst-Brady, now at MTV Networks in a top sales role.

Vincent Letang will work with Monahan as the director of global forecasting in the Global Intelligence side His position was previously held by Brian Wieser.

Investment chief Williams had been executive vice president of global investment strategy.

The new roles go into effect at the end of July. Herbst-Brady's departure was first reported by Adweek.
