The boots include a Fitbit Wireless Activity Tracker, a pedometer that track the number of steps each model takes, from castings and fittings to post-fashion show fetes. For every mile, Nine West will donate $1 directly to FTBC along with a designated donation.
The program, now in its second year, includes such models as Chrissy Teigen and Carolyn Murphy. The boot is currently available in Nine West stores and some Nordstrom stores for $199, as is a messenger bag ($59), and a limited edition Fruit of the Loom tank top ($25) for the cause.
The company, part of the Jones Group, says it will become the exclusive brand partner for FTBC starting in 2012, responsible for the creation of all FTBC merchandise.
