"Best" Magazine To Debut on Thursday

  • November 3, 2003
PRIMEDIA's Home Technology & Photography Group has partnered with BestStuff.com to launch Best, an upscale shopping magazine. The magazine, which hits newsstands on Thursday, features stories about high-end audio and video systems, digital photography, cars and travel. Its first cover subject is Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks and chief executive officer of HDNet, a provider of HDTV satellite programming.

"Best magazine is that close friend, that trusted advisor who knows what's good in life and how to get it," said Irwin Kornfeld, vice president and group publisher of PRIMEDIA's HT&P Group, in a press release. "For smart, successful, tech-aggressive consumers who want to 'have it all' - without burying themselves in exhaustive lab reports - Best is the essential guide to learning about and buying the best products the market has to offer."

John Kelley, BestStuff.com's editor, will serve as Best's editor-in-chief and John Lentz, founder of BestStuff.com, will be publishing director. Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood will serve as guest contributing editor for the launch issue.
