Twitter Hires DC Insider Crowell To Head Global Policy

Telecom policy veteran Colin Crowell, former senior aid to Rep. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), where he handled telecom issues, was named Twitter's head of global public policy, reports Politico. In 2009, he became senior adviser to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, helping to shape some of the commission's early broadband policies and Open Internet order. He left the agency to start a consulting business, counting Sprint and Google as clients. His clients have included Sprint and Google.
