Darby To Oversee Martha Stewart TV Shows

Geoffrey-Darby

Former Weather Channel and Viacom executive Geoffrey Darby is now general manager of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia television operations.

Darby will be responsible for all Stewart's shows, which have a home on Hallmark Channel, including "The Martha Stewart Show," "Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn," "Petkeeping with Marc Morrone," "Martha Bakes" and "Emeril's Table," hosted by Emeril Lagasse.

As part of the announcement, Michael Morrison will become executive producer of "The Martha Stewart Show." He reports to Darby. Darby had been executive vice president of programming for The Weather Channel. Before that, he was president of production of Oxygen Media. Other senior positions included CBS Cable, Viacom Interactive Services, and Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite, where he was senior vice president of programming and production.

Morrison had been programming consultant and executive producer at A&E. He also held producer positions at MTV, Warner Bros, and NBC.

Lisa Gersh, who became president/COO of Martha Stewart Living earlier this year, and was president/COO of Oxygen from 1998 until 2007, touted Darby's "creativity, his insights and his leadership skills," while calling Morrison "a talented and accomplished producer and development executive."
