McBride, Amtrak Hold Cross-Country Tour

  • September 15, 2011
Country singer Martina McBride is partnering with Amtrak for a whistle-stop (or would that be "song-stop") tour to promote her upcoming album, Eleven.

The singer's "Eleven Across America Powered by Amtrak" tour will be a four-day trek across the country, including appearances in 11 cities. She will hold intimate performances for fans in three of those cities: Albuquerque, Chicago and New York City.

While the new album is McBride's 11th studio project, Amtrak is celebrating its 40th anniversary, which has already been celebrated with a national exhibit train tour, special fare promotion, commemorative merchandise and an anniversary-themed website.

The cross-promotional event will kick off on Oct. 10 in Los Angeles and Conclude in New York on Oct. 14.
