Interpublic's Mediabrands has named Lauren Snyder Chief Communications Officer. Synder, who was executive vice president-Chief Communications Officer at resorts operator Kerzner International Holdings, will report to Mediabrands Global CEO Matt Seiler.

Among other things, Mediabrands said she will direct the global marketing and communications for the soon-to-launch New York-based IPG Media Lab and "Virtual Lab."

At Kerzner, Synder managed the communications and advertising campaigns for its resort properties including Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in the Bahamas and Dubai as well as One&Only resorts.
