GSN Names New Programming EVP

Introcaso-DavisThe Game Show Network, which prefers to be known as GSN, continues to shuffle its executive suite. Looking to better zero in on its adult female audience (a group that has an affection for casual games), the network has turned to a top programmer at Oxygen and Bravo.

Amy Introcaso-Davis, who helped establish the current, lucrative iteration of Bravo by shepherding “Queer Eye For the Straight Guy,” becomes executive vice president of programming. She also was a driving force behind Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise in her senior programming role there.

Moving over to Oxygen as a senior vice president in programming three-and-a-half years ago, she helped make the brand a strong part of the NBCUniversal portfolio with “Bad Girls Club” and more recently, a reality competition series associated with Fox hit “The Glee Project.”

Earlier this month, GSN grabbed another NBCU executive, Stephen Croncota, from E! to serve as CMO.

GSN is run by Sony Pictures Entertainment and looks to turn its Web site into a casual gaming hub. The network runs “Baggage” with Jerry Springer on weekdays leading into prime time and a hefty dose of refashioned popular game shows.

Introcaso-Davis will be charged with bulking up original programming, reporting to CEO David Goldhill, who stated that she had "an impressive track record of creating phenomenally successful and culturally relevant content."
