With a much of the eastern seaboard still digging out from a severe winter storm, an unofficial FCC forum on media ownership rules was cancelled Tuesday. The USC Annenberg Center for Communications Law and Policy and the USC School of Law were sponsoring the day long session. Organizers said that many speakers would not be able to fly to Los Angeles session because of massive airline delays and cancellations, including FCC commissioners Michael Copps and Jonathan Adelstein. The forum may be rescheduled, although no new date has been set. The FCC will hold its only “official” public hearing on its proposed changes to media regulations on February 27in Richmond, VA.
