Alternative rockers Third Eye Blind will portray the '60s British rock band The Kinks in an episode of American Dreams on May 4. In 1964, the Kinks were part of the British Invasion that influenced American music and Third Eye Blind will pay homage to the band by playing All Day and All of the Night. Lead singer Stephan Jenkins will portray Kinks front man Ray Davies. In the episode titled Down the Shore, the Pryor family hits Wildwood, N.J., for their summer vacation and two members of the family dance on the beach at the Bandstand Hop where the Kinks perform. American Dreams has become a place for current artists to portray 60s singers. Usher has portrayed Marvin Gaye, Michelle Brand portrayed Leslie Gore, Ashanti played Dionne Warwick, LeAnn Rimes was Connie Francis and Duncan Sheik played Bobby Darin. R&B artists B2K with Marque Houston will portray The Temptations in the April 27 episode.
