Humana, Ubisoft Pair For Fitness Game

Humana-

Health care provider Humana is partnering with video game company Ubisoft (maker of the Let’s Dance gaming series) on a new fitness game for the Kinect System for Xbox.

The game, “Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012,” is designed to be used by consumers of all ages (including kids), and features three Humana-sponsored workout programs to encourage fitness and treat a range of maladies. Two of the programs, Active Kids and Aging with Grace, are targeted at specific age groups, while the other, Strengthen Your Heart, is targeted at reducing high blood-pressure. Each game provides a virtual coach, who offers encouragement and real-time workout feedback.

“In partnership with Ubisoft, Humana is offering a cutting-edge way to teach children habits that can help to prevent obesity, help seniors stay active and mobile, and give people of all ages tools for lowering their blood pressure – three ways people can significantly improve their health and quality of life,” said Raja Rajamannar, Humana’s chief innovation and marketing officer, in a statement. “Through this partnership, an interactive video game will help people achieve real results and better total health – all while having fun.”
