Google Could Become Drop-Shipment Middleman

Taken straight from a distribution strategy manufacturers call "drop shipments," Google is reportedly building a delivery service that would allow consumers to order online and have the physical content delivered within a day or two. The discount program would resemble services, in scope, offered by Amazon Prime by combining Google Products with a quick shipping service. Gap, OfficeMax and Macy's have been approached, but would not confirm they are on board, according to sources.
