Former MEDIA Editor Herman Joins Zimmerman

Adam Herman, a long-time agency media executive and former member of the MediaPost team who was the first editor of MEDIA magazine, has been named executive vice president-integrated media services at Ft. Lauderdale, FL-based Zimmerman Advertising.

Herman, who joins from Kansas City-based Barkley, where he was senior vice president-director of media services, will oversee all integrated traditional and digital media planning and buying for the agency, which is known for its retail branding expertise and has a roster of clients including AutoNation, Ashley Furniture, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida , hhgregg, Nissan, Papa John's, Party City, Pep Boys and Office Depot.

Herman’s appointment was part of a series of high-profile hires announced this week by Zimmerman, which also named Ryan Linder executive vice president-Chief Marketing Officer, from vice president-marketing director at Minneapolis-based Olson.

Also joining Zimmerman, are Bruce Himelstein, former Chief Marketing Officer for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, who will head a new hospitality, travel and tourism group for the agency; and Peter Twombly, former head of global business development and marketing at One to One Global, who becomes Zimmerman’s Chief Digital Business Development Officer.
