Procter & Gamble Touts Tide With Comedian

  • December 13, 2011

Procter & Gamble's Gain detergent brand has tapped comedian and actress Wanda Sykes and in-house scent guru (or “Scenthropologist” in P&G argot) Tim Hittle to talk fabric softener scents.

The national TV campaign touts Gain for its portfolio of 13 scents. Procter & Gamble says the ads are intended to highlight "diverse characters, with varied backgrounds and interests in celebration of Gain’s world of scent choices that are as unique as they are."

Hittle, who works in Gain brand R&D, will make appearances on Gain’s Facebook page to share scent tips and advice. Here are some of the scents: Icy Fresh Fizz, Hawaiian Aloha and Butterfly Kiss, Forget-Me-Not Dryer Bar and Fireworks In-Wash Scent Booster. The latter two are new.
