La Opinión, the nation's leading Spanish-language newspaper, and KMEX-TV Univision 34, the most widely watched Spanish language television station in the country, announced the formation of an
exclusive cross-promotional agreement. The joint effort creates opportunities for both media companies to "exchange and leverage each other's editorial coverage while also allowing the organizations
to proactively seek opportunities to engage in cross-promotional activities." The pairing calls for the two entities to co-participate in community affairs programs and initiatives that will benefit
common Hispanic communities. La Opinión and KMEX-TV Univision 34 will develop a television segment around La Vibra, the weekly entertainment magazine published by La Opinión that is devoted
to music, movies, clubs and restaurants and weekly events happening around the Los Angeles area. In addition, during KMEX-TV's 11 p.m. newscast, key news items that will appear in La Opinión the
following day will be announced on-air.
